Anders Ostergaard
| Famous Danish documentarist who became a world authority on the field after all the acclaim and Oscar, Sundance and European Film awards nominations for his brilliant film “Burma VJ”. Among other awards the film received two prizes at the prestigious Amsterdam International documentary Film Festival, the biggest in the world in its genre. The Scandinavian director is also famous due to the success of films such as “Tintin Et Moi” and “Gasolin”. | ![]() |
Briant Grant
| British director became famous in the 1980´s for a string of music videos that instantly made him a cult like figure. Among many others, he produced videos for artists such as Peter Gabriel, Queen, The Human League and Olivia Newton-John. Throughout his career he directed and produced over and impressive total of 200 music videos. He has also become a prominent TV director, producing episodes for several series such as “Doctor Who”, “Love bites” and “Highlander”. |
Fernando Trueba
| Oscar winning Spanish director, who became a major figure in the early nineties after the premiere of “Belle Epoch” which won over 20 awards worldwide, including an Oscar, a BAFTA, a Goya and a nomination at the Berlinale. In 1998 he also scored a major hit with “The Girl of Your Dreams” winning another Goya award among many other prizes. Since then he has managed to conciliate his work with his love for music, in particular Latin Jazz, by dedicating himself to projects where both aspects merge together, such as in the acclaim documentary “Calle 54” and more recently on the Oscar nominated animation feature “Chico and Rita”. | ![]() |
Guillermo Garcia Ramos
| One of the most famous and prestigious Spanish documentarists, García Ramos has frequently produced content for the Spanish public TV network TVE, as well as independently producing short and long features and collaborating directly with different film festivals around the world. He will return to FEST for the 3rd time to conduct a workshop on script and production development. | ![]() |
Kjartan Sveinsson

Perhaps most famous as the keyboard player of Icelandic post-rock giants Sigur Rós, but since the turn of the century he has been creating a name for himself in the film soundtrack world. Among a series of special compositions for short films and documentaries he was responsible for the daring original score for Neil Jordan´s “Ondine”. His recent nomination for an Edda Award, for the music he composed for the beautiful and impressive “Volcano” by Rúnar Rúnarsson is only the most recent in a series of successful pieces. |

Laurence Bennett
| Major figure in the field of Art direction, having recently been given a Cesár, as well as nominations for an Oscar and a Bafta, for his work on Michel Hazanavicius´s “The Artist”. Bennett became a household name through his collaboration with Canadian director Paul Haggis in cult films such as the brilliant “Crash” and “In the Valley of Elah”. His portfolio also includes design work for Jeffrey Nachmanoff´s “Traitor” as well as TV work for numerous networks and programs such as “Grey´s Anatomy”. | ![]() |
Martin Walsh
| Editor of films such as James McTeigue´s “V for Vendetta”, The British filmmaker is a world recognized authority in the field, having won the Oscar in 2003 for his brilliant work on Rob Marshall´s “Chicago”. He was also nominated for a BAFTA. Martin Walsh is famous for his work with British director Iain Softley, having worked together on films such as “Backbeat”, “Hackers” and the legendary “Krays”. He has also left his mark on movies like “Mansfield Park” and “The Bridget Jones Diary”. | ![]() |
Sandro Henriques
| Portuguese professional who has been working in Great Britain, for the last decade, as a digital composer. Throughout the last few years he has left his mark on hits such as V for Vendetta by James McTeigue, Moon by Duncan Jones, Alfonso Cuaron´s Children of Men, as well as the last two films of the Harry Potter saga. |
Scandar Copti
| Palestinian Filmmaker famous for directing the international critical and commercial hit Ajami, which was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Foreign Language film category. Since 2009 the film has been awarded no less than 11 prizes all around the world. Among them are the Golden Camera in Cannes, the audience award at Ghent, the grand prizes at Talling Black Nights Festival and Boulder Film Festival, and 3 awards at the Thassaloniki film Festival. Sylvie Landra
| Legendary French editor who made a name for herself in the mid nineties through her collaboration with influential directors such as Luc Besson and Didier Le Pêcheur. Throughout her career she has been responsible for the editing of the inspiring “Leon: the Professional”, and the provocative “ 5th Element”, “J´aimerais pas Crever un Dimanche” and “Des Nouveller du Bon Dieu”. More recently she edited great European box-office hits such as István Szabó´s “Taking sides” and Danièle Thompson´s “Avenue Montaigne”. She also produced Jackie Oudney´s “French Film”. | ![]() |

| Leading figure in the cinematography field thanks to his long time partnership with Clint Eastwood, whom he worked on films such as “Mystic River”, “Million Dollar Baby”, “Letter from Iwo Jima”, “Changeling”, “Gran Torino” and “J. He was also responsible for the brilliant photography work in films like Scott Derrickson´s “The Exorcism of Emily Rose”, Susane Bier´s “Things We Lost in the Fire” and more recently on Gary Ross´s box office super hit “Hunter Games”.
